The Universe’s Tough Love and Your Spiritual Journey
"Vickie, don't give me that shit today!"
That was the moment it all clicked for me. Our friendship, once built on gossip and anger, had become something that no longer resonated with who I was becoming. We spent countless hours talking about people, about what they did to us, and how unfair life could be. But deep down, I felt a shift. I was beginning to listen to my inner guidance and realize that I was no longer the same person I had been.
Did I listen to that guidance? Nope. Did I heed the cosmic 2x4s smacking me across the head? Again, no.
I naively believed that I could change her. After all, I had changed, so why couldn't she? I thought if I just hung in there, things would improve. But that was none of my business. My business was to listen to myself and act on how I felt. The truth was, I had been uncomfortable around her for a long time. Every meeting left me feeling drained and uneasy, yet I didn't listen to the signs or my feelings.
I knew I needed to end our friendship but didn't want to hurt her feelings. I kept pushing down my discomfort until that fateful day when she uttered those words to me.
"Vickie, don't give me that shit today!"
She was responding to me reminding her that the past should remain in the past and not be dredged up repeatedly. At that moment, instead of feeling hurt or angry, I laughed. The Universe had finally given me the wake-up call I couldn't ignore. It was as if the Universe said, "Well, you didn't listen to the subtle hints, so we had to make it unmistakably clear for you!"
This experience taught me a valuable lesson about listening to my intuition and the importance of surrounding myself with supportive, uplifting people. It made me realize that my journey wasn't about changing others but about being true to myself and my feelings.
So, who is supporting you? Who is lifting you up and helping you reach new heights on your spiritual journey?
Take a moment to evaluate the relationships in your life. Are they helping you grow and evolve, or are they holding you back? The people around you should inspire and encourage you, not drain your energy.
Remember, you are the most important person in your life. Trust your inner guidance, and don't be afraid to make changes that benefit your well-being and spiritual growth.
The Importance of Listening to Your Inner Guidance
In my journey, I've learned that our intuition is our most profound ally. It whispers truths that we often ignore because we're afraid of change or hurting others. But by silencing these whispers, we also silence our growth and potential.
When I finally listened to my inner guidance, it was like a weight lifted off my shoulders. I no longer had to pretend or force myself into situations that didn't feel right. I was free to be myself, authentically and unapologetically.
Surround Yourself with Positive Energy
One of the biggest takeaways from my experience is the importance of surrounding yourself with positive energy. The people in your life should be like mirrors, reflecting your best self back to you. They should challenge you to grow, support your dreams, and cheer you on every step of the way.
If a relationship is filled with negativity, gossip, or anger, it might be time to reconsider its place in your life. It’s not about blaming others but about choosing what's best for your spiritual and emotional well-being.
Action Steps for Your Spiritual Journey
1. Evaluate Your Relationships: Reflect on the people in your life. Do they uplift you or drain you? Are they supportive of your growth and dreams?
2. Listen to Your Intuition: Pay attention to those inner nudges and feelings. They are your soul's way of guiding you towards what's best for you.
3. Take Action: Don’t be afraid to make changes. It might be uncomfortable at first, but trust that it's leading you to a better place.
4. Seek Support: Surround yourself with like-minded individuals who support and inspire you. Join communities, attend workshops, or find a mentor.
As you navigate your spiritual journey, remember that you are not alone. Trust your inner guidance and embrace the changes that come your way. They are all part of your growth and evolution.
In love and light,
